Whats the sutta reference that best suits the 4fold assembly needing to be strong for the Dhamma wheel to continue etc?

I donā€™t know if this will tell you which suits best (for what, exactly?), but I found a nice article by Ven. Anālayo from 2015 about this very thing:

The first sutta reference he gives is DN16:3.35.1 through DN16:3.35.5 where the Buddha tells Māra:

I shall not be fully extinguished until I have monk disciples ā€¦ nun disciples ā€¦ layman disciples ā€¦ laywoman disciples who are competent, educated, assured, learned.

I shall not be fully extinguished until my spiritual path is successful and prosperous, extensive, popular, widespread, and well proclaimed wherever there are gods and humans.

But there are some more sutta references about this in that article.
