A monk quarrels with the Sangha and dies

So here is a story.

There was once a monk quarreling with Elders. He had a stubborn attitude. He goes in the Forest alone after the quarrel in hope to Meditate. While going and moving between trees branches, he hit his head against a branch and fell to the ground and died on the spot.

What does this monk needed in Dhamma practice?

I’d like to see the original sutta. Commentaries might give an explanation.

But for now it seems that he insulted Enlightened ones and that is very dangerous. The Buddha explains (e.g., in Vinaya Pitaka - Parajikapali - Veranjakanda) that insulting Enlightened ones results in birth in hell.
