I would like to ask the moderators or people who know…is personal mail readable by others? Is it really private?

DM (Direct Messages) which I assume is what you are calling personal emails are private.

I have to inform you about an addendum that in principle forum administrators (not moderators, the site administrators) can read everything including DMs. I was talking about other regular forum members.
