"Advanced Search"/"Sutta Database Search" - UX?

I realize this is supposed to be an advanced tool, but I’ve found it to be very esoteric:

Maybe a link to a tutorial or some hover-over tips would helpful on that page.

With the emphasis on early texts for the SuttaCentral site, it might be nice to have an “intermediate” search that just queries a bundle of SN/MN/DN?

Actually it’s kind of a misnomer: it’s advanced to use, sure, but actually a more primitive engine. We will get around to improving search at some stage, but when we do, I’d rather focus attention on the main search. Personally I’d get rid of the “advanced search”, but it currently does one or two things that the default search doesn’t.
