As an aside, several open source projects are increasingly mandating a âno AI generated codeâ rule. The Gentoo Linux [link] and NetBSD [link] operating system projects explicitly state this.
Their main rationale is around copyright concerns, since it is hard to tell whether a piece of AI generated code came from training data that was copyrighted, thereby tainting the code being produced and used. NetBSD tells you to check with the authors of the code to ensure that the license permits free distribution, which is well nigh impossible with AI generated code.
Interesting. I think thatâs prudent, given the fluid status of AI-generated content and copyright. I canât help feeling that when the big playersâDisney and the likeâmuscle in on copyright, historically theyâve usually won, even beating Google et al.
AI-3: There is no road from here to there
Sometimes the road hasnât been built yetâŚ
If you totally take away this generation, and begin with a new generation born into the AI world.
From birth every language under the sun could be taught to a baby, the enquiring mind could be filled with nothing but intelligence by AI.
And as a old generations of people vanishes, a new generation of intelligence emerges.
One who treats nature with the utmost respect, and creates a true connection with nature, a connection that has far more intelligence than any super AI could ever imagine.
Teaching respect from birth , and from something that will be your best friend, will in my eyes have positive outcomes.
And if Iâm wrong and it does end up destroying us all, then at least the plants and animals will be able to breath clean air again!
And in the rebirth situation, we might all appreciate that down the road!
