Dhamma talks by Ajahn Brahm during the rains retreat given specifically for novice monks and anagarikas. This class spans two rains retreats and alternatingly covers topics from ‘Word of the Buddha’ anthology and from the first ten suttas of the Majjhima Nikaya. , I benefited from all these talks enormously myself so I see this as a way to pay it forward. There are still some deeper talks to monastics coming up, carrying an even greater punch and giving a lot of incentive to practice—getting straight to the point of developing nibbida, viraga, nirodha, nibbana—especially for one that gradually elects a more and more secluded style of living in the society.
