Bhante Paññādhammika has asked me to share their Anki decks for Pāli studies. I’ve checked them and they’re quite fun cards with memes to hint for meanings of the words. Seeing how they’re a monastic, I’ll assume the memes are all family friendly and respectful (I’ve only checked some 50-100, and they all seemed fine, but I’m no authority to talk about what’s proper in a monastic setting!)
Anyway, all those disclaimers made, here’s the deck:
Beyond the top 500 or 1000 most common words, I wouldnt suggest memorizing the Pali dictionary. In fact, since Pali is an inflected language, memorizing the dictionary wouldnt be of great use as you will need to be able to recognize the declensions and conjugations and not merely the headwords found in the dictionary.
