Archeological evidence of the spread of Brahmanism

Is anyone aware of any academic books or papers that discuss the spread of Brahmanism into northern India and dating associated with it? I am looking for something independent of Buddhist texts. Even texts outside of Buddhism would be helpful. archeological evidence would be wonderful.

There isn’t much from what I understand… .Most of the evidence I’ve heard is from linguistic analysis of the Vedas compared to other IE languages, which makes dating quite speculative… But I’m no expert. Happy to see what the real experts have to say :slight_smile:
