Is anyone familiar with something called Bodhi Path Press?
They have quite a few books on Amazon. The Majjhima Nikaya translation appears to be a slight adaptation of Bhante @Sujato’s translation. We can date it roughly based on “what the hell Kali” in MN 21. (which is now ‘Oi wench, Kāḷī!’)
The Jataka translation is, unsurprisingly, Cowel’s edition. The Digha Nikaya is Bhante Sujato’s from around 2019 (you can get some old editions here.)
They appeare to be created through the (self publishing?) agency grapevineindia.com. Otherwise I can find nothing about Bodhi Path Press online.
I guess one of the consequences of having good public domain translations in the world is that we will end up with these “ghost” translations floating around without any sense of their origin.

It looks like they have made at least some changes. I looked at the policy and it appears to me (for this and other reasons) that it doesn’t violate the policy. Any way, I’m not that concerned.
My issue wasn’t that the PD translations are being used in different ways, just that it makes it easier to have translations floating around where we don’t know anything about who created it. Obviously there is no reason someone couldn’t anonymously publish a new translation. It’s just far more likely with a PD version.
