Buddhist explorers worth following up on

Buddhist explorers worth following up on

Anything here for you maybe?

Buddhist explorers worth discovering AND “under followed alternative paths for Buddhism” following up on - as we enter in an era of contraction in freedoms and group empathy on the one hand and centralization and valorization of state power on the other.

I especially like the idea of creating Civic Organizations dedicated to combining Buddhist and Civic ideals, ( think of the Masons or Rotary Club ), of lay men and women such as were developed in China and Japan between 1900 and 1950. I think this perspective is especially important in the modern world where the scaffolding of respect in the community for monasteries has eroded or is absent and faith in the general public in monasticism is attenuated.)
