I really enjoy hearing traditional Buddhist chanting. It is contemplative while also uplifting.

This is a traditional service of the Jodo Shinshu sect of Japanese Pure Land Buddhism. It’s very similar in style to the services found in Zen temples in Japan:

The cover image of the Tibetan monk with a picture of the Dalai Lama could be a little confusing. I wonder why they did that?

Maybe because His Holiness loves Theravada Buddhism. He wrote the preface to In The Buddha’s Words by Bhikkhu Bodhi.
