Chanting before a Dhamma talk?

If one is firmly established in the right teaching, then my take is to put it to serious testing by placing myself totally open and “standing under” What’s unknown until truth reveals itself. How can one realize the truth if one keeps standing still in doubt?

I don’t have issues with Nibbida. Now, as in times past, people don’t like being reminded of the less pleasant but beneficial aspects of the Dhamma practice. I have little issue with the rituals in the dhamma but it’s important IMO that there is some discussion about how they aren’t part of the Buddha’s dhamma.
