Did the Buddha really give discourses for us to read?

If we read suttas individually, that is how we will see them because they are shorter than suttas from MN. But the thing about SN is that it’s structured into chapters and subchapters dealing with the same subject. By reading the whole subchapter this will happen more rarely.

Although there are places where MN will be more detailed than SN offering more details because suttas are longer in MN. And there is also AN witch provides further details that were not covered before. But I have not reached it yet and am not an expert on how things go in AN
