A new issue has emerged (probably after the latest update) regarding using Bilara on IPad OS X. The text suggestions used to get copied in the textbox by clicking on them but that no longer works. If anyone knows a fix let me know. If not, it is perfectly fine because using Bilara on IPad is just an extra convenience.
Everything works perfectly on my Mac laptop so no worries if there is no solution.

I don’t think Bilara has ever been tested on an iPad, so I doubt anyone knows a fix for that. If you have a way that works, please use that. Currently the developers’ energy is going into building the new Bilara version, and the old one only gets attention when it’s totally down (which happens occasionally).

Thanks Ayya! Bilara works surprisingly well on Ipad with all the different keyboards and various other features.

While drafting the script for my video presentation, I realized I still need to translate several blurbs, especially the super blurbs for navigation. Is it safe to proceed with these translations?
Moreover, I was looking in Bilara for these segments, but I couldn’t locate them:

Wow! I just happened to see one of the blurbs in English on SC and went to check it in Bilara, and it seems some of the super-blurbs have changed quite a bit since the time I translated them …!
What do we learn from this? “Don’t do any work today that you can delay to tomorrow. Otherwise you’ll have to do it twice … at least!”

Honestly, that DN blurb no longer seems like a blurb to me. It’s good, just goes far beyond what I consider a blurb.
For example, the old blurb fits perfectly into what I expect when I use the blurbs in my CitationHelper app:
It’s true that the old one is more “Just the facts, mam,” and the new one is more literary.
But back to your main issue… I believe that Bilara 2.0 will alert you to changes in the root, although maybe not old changes from before the feature is implemented.
And while we are talking blurb changes… I notice some current blurbs have what would now be considered footnote material, so perhaps as notes are added those could be changed.

I’ve finished the Vedanā Saṃyutta, soon a Spanish Pali scholar will revise it, and now I’m starting to add a few notes/comments to it. The SC translation style guide says:
Do not quote or paraphrase the commentary unless it is necessary to explain a translation choice. Ensure the meaning of the text is clear in the translation.
I don’t know if this ‘policy’ of style has changed so I’d like some clarification. I understand the idea of not using the traditional commentaries to make up for a poor translation of a term. But how about when the commentaries supply useful additional information? (as long as it is in conformity with the suttas) I’m thinking, for example of SN36.6 where the commentary says that the alternative to pursuing sensory gratification when experiencing painful feelings, the way out, is to cultivate samādhi. Personally I’d like to occasionally add things like that as notes.
