Does anyone know how to do publicity?

Slightly off topic here, but I don’t believe this is correct. It may be the first complete, free, translation of the first four Nikayas into English (however, the version here: http://awake.kiev.ua/dhamma/tipitaka/2Sutta-Pitaka/2Majjhima-Nikaya/index.html is quite comprehensive, though most of the translations are not very good…).

I believe there are free translations in many Asian languages, such as Thai, Burmse, Sinhalese, etc.

A digital Thai translation of the entire Tipitaka has been available for 20 years: https://www.mahidol.ac.th/budsir/Budsirtt.htm for example.

That’s correct. There’s also pretty much complete English translations around, but they are poor quality. So I would say it’s the first “freely available, complete, and accurate translation of the 4 nikayas in plain English.”

It’s also, independent of considerations of accuracy and availability, the first consistent translation of the 4 nikayas, certainly in English, and I believe in any language.

I stumbled on this project
http://84000.co
today. Suttacentral is not on their webpages. Seems an obvious connection to make.

You need a contemporary tech proficient PR person (if any). Some of the suggestions I have seen in this thread are expensive, and perhaps outdated.

And I suggest crowdsourcing your pr as dana, with someone familiar with those campaign.

Possibly pr partnerships too; and SC should be made a Amazon smile program if not already.

Venerable, I saw, you were not ready for suggestions; however I need to give these over now.

May SC be healthy, and inspire health;
may all beings achieve liberation.

Oh dear. … You have so much more at this moment than better translations.

I suggest you brainstorm/ croud source a better list of why suttacentral is going to change the world. A new thread, and maybe a contest or a badge opportunity. :slight_smile: Fun work.
