I actually met Dr. Bucknell about four years ago when he presented at a celebration in Thailand honoring Buddhadasa Bhikkhu. His presentation was wonderful, and he even participated in the forest retreat. (No mean feat at his age, I would say!) Very nice man.

He rejected taking me on as a PhD student because he said he had to complete his magnum opus while he still had. I assume this is it. As such, I expect it is really great.
