I have two questions about Birth stories (jataka kata). Now I know there are a handful in the EBTs, apart from the main Jatakas (which don’t seem to EBTs). Jataka are also mentioned in the earliest classification of the teachings.
My first question is are the EBT sutta jataka different from the later Jatakas and how so. The other is about the use of the term ‘bodhisatva’. Where and when is that term used to denote a person is going to become a Sammasambuddha in EBTs. ie is it used in the jataka stories or only in the life as Siddhartha, in which he becomes a Buddha.
