“And how does a person live together then scorn? It’s when a person lives with someone else for two or three years. They live together with that person, then they scorn them. That’s how a person live together then scorns”
Have you ever gotten some experiences of that ? Can you share them with me so that I can get a clearer picture of what has been said ?
Thank you

Perhaps it’s a case of a person who’s not fully developed in maturity and may have the view of a chinese proverb “beat is care, scold is love”, so has an unhealthy way of showing affection once the socially acceptable phrase of courtship is over and a form of friendship or relationship or marriage is developed. 打是疼,罵是愛 - Wiktionary, the free dictionary
Or maybe toxic friends whose way of showing affection is by sarcasm, pranks, teasing, etc.
In modern English, I think it is called familiarity breeds contempt

Came here to say just that.
The more you live with someone, the more annoying things you are going to find. And the more slights and petty grievances will build up. It’s a huge problem in monasteries. Sadly. Hypothetically, of course.
