Are there favorable conditions for reading the StP now?
1 -STP IN PĀḶI
On 14th February 2025, Google had finished the digitization of most of StP (four main nikāyas and some KN books: Khp, Ud, Iti, Thag & Thig) in Pāḷi for public domain – books out of copyright, with AN ‘part I’ (AN I-III) – PTS 1885.
This means PTS, BJT, CST-VRI, MST-SC, SYA-DPR editions are now free online.
2 -TOOLS FOR LEARNING PĀḶI TO UNDERSTAND STP IN DETAILS
2.1 –GRAMMAR
2.1.1 -outline: ‘A New Course in Reading Pali’ – Gair & Karunatillake, B. Bodhi’s recorded lectures for free
2.1.2 -details: Kaccāyanabyākaraṇaṃ with translation by A. Thitzana, free PDF by Pariyatti Publishing

In 2022, the free Digital Pāḷi Dictionary came into being and has grown into a powerful tool with:

2.2.6 -compound,
2.2.7 -sandhi,
2.2.8 -variant readings
etc

2.3.3 -iOS keyboard in Latin Hindi
2.4 -SEARCH TOOLS FOR PĀḶI DIACRITICS
2.4.1 -PDF advanced search on Windows,
2.4.2 –free Google search,
2.4.3 –free Digital Pāḷi Reader
3 -TRANSLATION OF STP

People who want to read StP now have powerful tools. This looks promising to me.
