I like to see the following features add to suttacentral:
- Be able to create my own bookmark of sutta in sutttacentral
- Be able to add notes to sutta I bookmarked
- Be able to mark sutta I like as “favorite”
About every three or four months this suggestion comes up. E.g.:
- Bookmark/Favorite button?
- A Bookmark Function for Sutta Central...?
- Bookmarks in SC
- Is it possible to bookmark your place in a sutta?
In brief: This will never be added. You need to keep your own list of bookmarks and notes on your own device or through some other method.
No one denies this would be a nice thing to have, so please don’t spend any time arguing in favor of it. We know, it would be great.
But it would require a whole new level of technology to be added to SuttaCentral and that won’t happen. SC is already a very complicated site.
Perhaps the @moderators could lock this thread so we don’t get yet another one on the identical topic.
