For boys who ordained temporarily, what was the value?

if all boys spend at least time time ordained, why non monastic men in Thailand suffer and invest in some of the social ills in Thai society. It is either related, or not related, or partially related, i guess, but it is hard for a non Thai laywoman not to wonder about.

Ordaining doesn’t magic away the problems of genderism (or genocidal tendencies it turns out). It doesn’t guarantee …anything. But if someone wants to use it for the purpose it was meant for, it is the best vehicle for the path to Nibbana, and afterwards.
