Help identify two texts from Taishō

Hello!

In the Taishō Tripiṭaka, there are two texts that recount the First Council, which I have not been able to identify. Where do they come from, and in what language were they composed? I kindly ask knowledgeable people to advise.

  1. T2026 (vol 49).
  2. T2027 (vol 49).

It seems that the answer can be found in the book “Le concile de Rājagṛha: Introduction à l’histoire des canons et des sectes bouddhiques” by Jean Przyluski, but this book is not available to me.

With mettā.

In An Early Chinese Commentary on the Ekottarika-āgama, Antonello Palumbo suggests T2026 was originally a Vaibhāṣika preface to the EA recited by the Bactrian Bhikshu Dharmananda to Chinese translators in Chang’an sometime between February and July of 384 CE.

Michael Radich has a summary of sources that discuss the attributions of T2027 here: CBC@: Text: T2027; 迦葉結經; Jiashe jie Anan jing 迦葉詰阿難經

It was attributed to Anshigao during the Han dynasty by one of the Chinese Buddhist bibliographers in classical times, but it turns out to be spurious on close inspection. The origins of that text are a question mark. It may have been a translation by Dharmaraksa, another early translator, but it’s unclear.

Oh! This is a very cool resource. Thanks for sharing it!

Maybe this text?
