Help Wanted to Set Up Non-Commercial Buddhist Website: dhammo.org (dhammo is the plural for of dhamma)

I am posting with the permission of the moderators. All cross posts are also done after seeking permission from the relevant community’s moderators.

I am owner of domain http://dhammo.org (dhammo is the plural form of dhamma) which I want to set up as a non-commercial / not for profit site with Buddhist information.

I am looking for someone who can help me, pro bono, to:

  • set up this site using GitHub Pages
  • set up Hugo SSG (https://gohugo.io) using Jane (https://github.com/xianmin/hugo-theme-jane) as the theme
  • set up automatic building using GitHub actions perhaps using https://github.com/peaceiris/actions-hugo
  • set up Giscus (https://giscus.app) for comments (may need to fork theme, if so try to up a steam a PR also so a separate fork does not need to be maintained.)
  • set up banner art and profile picture (may need to fork theme, if so try to up a steam a PR also so a separate fork does not need to be maintained.)
  • set up both Markdown and Ascii Doctor support
  • set up edit on GitHub for posts
  • set up SEO, RSS, favicon, Analytics, etc.
  • set up multiple authors (perhaps using taxonomies) and languages

This will be broken into 3 areas

All sub sites will be aggregated in http://dhammo.org / http://www.dhammo.org.

Also figure out the DNS setting and mail server setting for the above sites. I am also looking to setup the mail as separate Yandex organizations for each of the above sites, as one can get free mail serve on own domain.

Finally I also own http://sirinath.com as my personal site which I hacked up. This is somewhat broken. If it is OK and not too much to ask, is it also possible to help with this so all posts in dhammo.org get posted to sirinath.com. This might rarely have a non Buddhist post also this might not be in dhammo.org or related sites, so this needs to be accommodated also. The same theme and GitHub action used for the above sites can be reused here.

Please contact me if you can help.
