Hi - Introduction SarathW1

Hi
My name is SarathW.
I discovered Buddhism about 6 years ago after reading a book by Ven. Narada - Buddha and His Teaching,
even thought I am a Buddhist by birth. I am a Sri Lankan and perhaps many of you know me from Dhamma Wheel.
I like to thank Bhante Sujato and the admin team for this wonderful project (Sutta Central) undertaken.
I believe it is an historical event.

Hi Sarath, finally you made it!

Welcome! :anjal:

Hello friends I decided to stop using like ( love)button.
Please be aware I love you all no matter what.

Please don’t stop! The like button is there for a reason, it helps the system work better.

OK Bhante
If I do not use like button, it does not mean I don’t like it.
By the way I thought you like my idea of not using the button, because you liked it.
Perhaps you like my second sentence but not the first one.

No, it’s entirely personal. I just like you! :grinning:

But seriously, providing feedback to the system in the form of likes affects how different posts are weighted, which float to the top, and so on. Obviously it’s up to people how they use it, but I just thought it’s useful to know.

Oh I see.
So we have to take our likes very seriously?

Well, seeing as likes and dislikes are what trap us in samsara, absolutely!

Yes I understand.
In conventional sense you like or dislike but in ultimate sense you maintain your equanimity!
