How many days can one remain in jhāna samāpatti?

In the context of jhāna practice, is there a specific limit to how many days one can remain in jhāna samāpatti? Is it seven days? Is there any supporting evidence in the Pali texts or commentaries regarding this duration?

In the case of meditative attainments, Suttas usually give 7 days as longest period. Some Chinese meditative masters supposedly could sit unmoved for even longer periods. For example see
