Has anyone ever begun such a project, to fill in the peyyalas in the Pali text on SC? It wouldn’t make sense without computers and software and automated compression algorithms, but, well, here we are.
I ran across this post from Bhante @sujato saying that it would be nice to have a fully-expanded version, but the post is ten years old.
And your observation makes it clear that what we’re doing by default, essentially asking the (possibly newb) readers to fill in the peyyalas themselves, isn’t the best.
I’m asking because if there is such a project, I’d love to help. I feel awfully newb to start such a project myself: I’m sure I’d be extremely slow, at least to start. Another thing your observation makes clear is that the people working on this will need to have (or develop) some experience doing it before they can expect for their work to pass vetting.
