Incredible flash flooding at Dhammasukkha Meditation Centre in Missouri, USA

An incredible story which I’m sharing from a monk friend:

Please send metta to Venerable Bhante Kusala, who almost died along with another teacher when Dhamma Sukha monastery was partially swept away by a rare flash flood yesterday. Here’s his [incredible] video description of what happened from Bhante Kusala:

May he heal smoothly from his internal wounds, until it’s completely over. May the monastery heal as well.

Monastery flood relief news and support.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s interesting to have such a thorough account of the process. Water is so powerful.

What a harrowing experience. We’re grateful the Bhante and the parishioner made it out.

It was a serious reminder that we could die at any time, just like AN6.20

I’ve been practicing “Life is uncertain, Death is certain” lately. This is certainly a reminder of the importance of practicing the path.
