I think yes. Everything will have to migrate from the old to the new version at some point.

For some suttas (here AN3.3) it seems I cannot select the comment columns I wish (en/sujato and de/sabbamitta).
Is this because at the time when the project was started they didn’t have any comments yet?
And each time I come to a page with my comment columns after having been on a page without them, I need to arrange the column order again. But that’s probably not a big problem.
I have now clicked through all segments of a sutta without typing anything anywhere. Sometimes I do that when revising a text, and I want to see the current segment highlighted, and after reading it press “enter” to go to the next (I can’t move between segments with the up and down arrows, neither in the old nor in the new version).
When doing this now, some segments were changed according to one of the TM suggestions, without me clicking on any of them. In the very moment I pressed “enter” in order to move to the next segment, the content of the segment I just left changed, and a green tick mark appeared,
I think this should not happen. A segment should only change its content if I can see the new content in the segment before hitting “enter”.
Another thing: On the overview page there are all site files listed next to my sutta translation project, but I can’t see the “blurb” folder. Is this a bug, or is it just the test version? The blurbs have been part of my project for as long as the site files, so normally, if one is included, the other should be as well.

That is correct. Keep working as usual on the old Bilara, and play around on the new one if you like. We’ll notify everyone when the next step is ready.
Oh, one more detail: we use one CSS rule that is currently not supported in Firefox. This governs the height of the text fields. So while Firefox is entirely usable, this detail is suboptimal until FF adds support, which hopefully will not be long.

Meanwhile, if I have some time, I’ll start writing a User’s Guide. Until then, you can check out the post I did on Updates a little while ago, this doesn’t have all the changes but it does have a lot of them.

Oh, one thing we added since that old review: you can now build your own terminology list via the Pali lookup tool.

Oh, and @HongDa please add @Brahmali and @cdpatton as Superusers.
Superusers have the ability to split and merge segments. This creates global changes to the root text that are applied for all translations. So it’s specifically for the primary translators of root texts.

Also, I just noticed, we should add one more role, the tagger. In admin/users we still only have the four (reviewer, writer, superuser, administrator).
For the record, a tagger can do everything a reviewer can, and in addition, can create or edit tags on any root segment, and manage tags on /tags.

Another thing, I just noticed that I am seeing changes by Sabbamitta in my Unpublished changes. I should only see my own unpublished changes.

Currently, the administrator can see all changes.
Okay, then I will change it so that logged-in users can only see the content they have modified.

Oh, right. Hmm, still best to see only my own content, otherwise it would be very complicated!
Perhaps give Admins a toggle so they can see their own changes or all changes?

I think this is feasible; by default, only your own edits will be visible, and you can switch to see the changes only when needed.

Also, probably a good idea to add a few people as Administrator. Carmi definitely, and maybe Sabbamitta, Snowbird, or others with a similar role.
