Hi John, I have effectively dropped out of the class, sorry about that. I hope I have a stable enough schedule at some point to join the next one. I will be taking what I have learned from the first months with me though, thank you for your generosity in teaching!

In the DPD, -tva endings (like abhivādetvā and upasaṅkamitvā) are classified absolute accusative. In G&K they are Gerunds. since this class (in a poor order of events) is my first using grammatical terminology, are these the same or am I missing something?
I will be staying tuned through recordings and this forum for next few weeks, hope to rejoin on zoom before the conclusion. Either way will hope to study along whenever the next iteration begins.
