I’m a monk that uses the Bhudda Jayanthi Thripitaka Series along with Bhikku Sujato Pali-English ones and Bhikku Brahmali Translations (Yes that makes it two Languages but I’m comfortable this way) while keeping the Pali text as core reference. I was able to acquire the Bhikki Brahmali Translations a while back and I’ve been using them along with my other Translations and they’ve been a tremendous help. Thank You all that was involved in the making.
As monks that use the Pali side a lot, I believe a Pali-English Version of the Vinaya (Like Bhanthe Sujato’s Tranlations) would be very beneficial for the Sangha community.
Thank You.
Also side note - I’m waiting for the Appendix of Technical Terms that I’m sure are in the making…
To my understanding they are published and nearly in a finished form. However, as has been mentioned previously, they are hard to find.
You have to click on the lower bit here:
When you do so you will see a long, horizontally scrolling menu bar:
Towards the end are the appendices:
It’s not clear what you are asking for. Do you mean a physical copy? As far as I know there are no physical copies of Bhante Sujato’s translations readily available.
I’m sure you know that on the website the Pali can be shown for Bhante Brahmali’s translations just like they can for Bhante Sujato’s.
Could you explain more what exactly you are looking for?
I’ll explain. I use a Kindle. I use the AZW3 Middle Discourses Pali-English books etc… and the Bhikku Brahmali PDFs all which were readily available to download. I’m sorry I didn’t know about the browser thing but the thing is I don’t think I can do that on a Kindle offline.
As far as I know, the Pali-English Kindle books are only available through ReadingFaithfully.org. I don’t think they have ever been offered on SuttaCentral.net.
I actually forgot that my Book Builder tool can be used to create the Vinaya texts as well.
So you would want to choose the book (or all books) you wanted to include and make sure you select the Pali. There are other settings to play around with too.
Then you can click the copy button and paste the results in a text editor and save the file as .html
. Then you can either use an online conversion tool or better yet the Calibre ebook tool to convert that to whatever Kindle format you like.
Wait I get it now, you thought I was referring to Vinaya when I spoke about Bhanthe Sujatho.
I meant these. Sorry I wasn’t clear enough.
No. Not at all.
You are talking about Pali-English books from Bhante Sujato that are not available through SuttaCentral.net.
If you want Pali-English Vinaya books, you have to look outside of SuttaCentral.net. That I why I suggested you try the book building tool I linked to.
I just tried those instructions and came up with a usable book. It would take some tweaking to make them better.
Can you upload that book?
I spent some time (but not much) cleaning this up. No guarantees

You can use this epub to convert to whatever Kindle format you want. Although from my experience it will be too large for the “email to Kindle” service to work. But there are plenty of online converters.
Also, be sure to install the DPD Kindle dictionary. It works quite well with a book like this.
SnowBird, the DPD is amazing. I checked it out, works great. I’m going offline in a couple of hours, thanks for everything.
Just for clarification for anyone who comes upon this thread, the Pali-English epub I posted a link to above is the translation only. Download the official publication from SuttaCentral if you want all of the supplemental matter.
And indeed, the DPD for Kindle is a dream.
the text* only (I assume you meant?)
