I don’t remember now where I read this, but I have in my memory a statement from Buddhism that in the doctrine of Buddha, laughing [is/could be in some cases] considered as whining and dancing as madness(if I remember correctly)
I was wondering from where did I get those memories.
Singing is regarded as wailing in the training of the noble one. Dancing is regarded as madness. Too much laughter, showing the teeth, is regarded as childish. So break off singing and dancing; and when you’re appropriately pleased, it’s enough to simply smile.”
