Could you please recommend any online groups that practice and study Anapanasati?
Additionally, could you please recommend online groups for studying Pali? For Pali, I would need to start from the very beginning

Hello, this is the most reputable one I know of:
based on Bhikkhu AnÄlayoās teachings ā pretty certain he has taught the teachers. In the past, Barre Center has required that you complete the SatipatthÄna course first.
John Kelly has been offering online courses for introductory Pali but the current one has already been going on for several months. Not the kind of thing you can jump into without starting from the beginning. I donāt know of others.
The UK-based Samatha Trust offers two kinds of free online instruction in ÄnÄpÄnassati.
Although it is best to learn Samatha Meditation in a group, face-to-face in a physical location, we do offer opportunities for people to learn online.
If you are interested in learning Samatha Meditation online there are currently two options:
1 - Zoom classes taken by a range of experienced meditation teachers, giving daily, weekly or weekend classes tailored to individual needs - at various times in the week, starting at different times in the year, and lasting for a different number of weeks. These classes also provided individual advice and guidance during one-to-one sessions.
If you are interested and would like to learn more please follow the link below and fill in the online form:
2 - A 30-week Moodle based course, which runs from early October to June. Although it is preferable to start in October, it is also possible to join a little later.
Using a comprehensive range of written and audio material, the course leads you through the stages of Samatha and introduces aspects of theory that are helpful in guiding the practice. Also includes weekly one-to-one feedback on your practice.
There is no need to be online at any specific time during the week, other than for the one-to-one discussion, though there is the option of also being in a weekly Zoom class and group meditation on Thursdays at 7.30pm.

Hello Paulo,
Thatās wonderful you are interested in learning PÄli! As Beth says in her post, Iāve been teaching PÄli online via Sutta Central for a number of years and currently have two classes going on, one for beginners and the other for more advanced. However, the beginner course has been going since the start of this year and obviously not suitable for someone new to jump in.
However, I do plan to start a new beginner PÄli course sometime early next year - probably February or March. So keep an eye on this PÄli thread on SC where more information will be posted eventually. The class going ahead will depend on how many people show an interest.
What time zone are you in, by the way?
I donāt know anything about this course, but I do know Peter Harvey, having studied for my MA in Buddhist Studies under him many years ago. Heās a wonderful teacher.
Thanks, everyone, for the responses.

Indeed. About a decade ago I took the Samatha Trustās 6-month online ÄnÄpÄnassati course and it was my good fortune that Peter Harvey was the teacher appointed to instruct me via weekly Skype interviews. I rate the Samatha Trust as by far the most solid of the UKās lay Buddhist groups.
