Looking for sutta about four swimming towards land

I’m sorry if you’re feeling frustrated or dissatisfied. You can always contribute to the Haiku thread to let off some steam.

Perhaps, in order to make your post relevant to this topic it may be worth focusing on points 4 and 5 from that sutta.

These are about looking about and seeing and knowing where lies happiness and where lies suffering (seeing the way forward) and then, what needs to be done during the ‘crossing over’ or training part of the Path to go in the direction of decreasing suffering and increasing ease.. Right Effort. The cultivation of those thoughts, feelings and actions which lead to good, beneficial states and eradicating those which lead to dissatisfaction, agitation and unbeneficial states. It is a matter of training, that ultimately changes perception itself.

Wishing you ease and a positive, happy outlook. :sunflower: :growing_heart:

I do understand that it can sometimes feel like there is a closed group. I’ve felt it myself in the course of my own journey. But there are ways to become part of the group and generally it involves contributing in positive ways. When people make an effort and others can see they are genuine in it, then I’ve found people will really go the extra mile to help out how they can. What gets a bit wearing though is when people turn up, with an expectation that others will run around and provide what they ask for without any effort themselves, or only on a whim without thought of the effort it may cost others. As such, it is natural that different situations will yield different responses.
