Not my tomorrow: reclaiming the future from the technofascists

Greetings @Sujato,

Thanks. Well, like you said, the Friday Night talks are aimed at just that refinement, and so it’s working for me. BTW, are people way over here in States (Oregon) able to attend Friday nights live on Zoom?

best,

It’s on Jitsi, which is similar to Zoom. Just click on the link given here: https://lokanta.github.io/

People do join from all over the world, but at the moment it would be 1am Friday for you, so maybe not so practical.

Thanks @mikenz66. For a night owl like me, it’s perfect. How fracking exciting! I hope that kind of “‘f’ bomb” is okay here. Actually, it’s more like an “'f fire cracker”, or maybe even an “'f sparkler”.

For anyone wanting more background on the motivation/reasoning behind some of the eugenics and rationalist views; this discussion is excellent. It focussed mostly around trans issues, but ties them in to the broader picture of what has been emerging. This talk was actually from mid-last year but is very relevant to Bhante’s recent talk and the situation we all find ourselves in.

I’m super keen to read more of Louise Richardson-Self’s work after seeing this.

I just finished reading https://ai-2027.com/

It’s a somewhat-plausible scenario for how the AI singularity might take off in the next few years.

To me, the most disturbing part is the end of the “Race Ending” where I realized that some of these people really are rooting against humanity.

† - were they aware of the double entendre?
