I frequently use Suttacentral on IPad( iPadOS 17.7.10). I tried downloading the texts but I don’t think my IPad allows me to access these texts. I’ve downloaded the EPUB version of the Nikayas from the Reading Faithfully website, yet these appear to be older translations from 2020 I believe? I’m unsure if Bhante Sujato has changed a lot or only a little in the current translations. So if Bhante Sujato or anybody who can help me can answer, please do so.
English only, but you also get the notes when notes have been written.
I don’t know if you could get this to work on an ipad, but here is a download of the suttacentral.express site. It’s up to date versions and gives all English, not just Bhante’s Release v1.3.2 · benmneb/suttacentral-static · GitHub
Venerable is it possible to get it in Pali-English EPUB of the current translations? I had downloaded the EPUBS of the previous translations just because it had Pali and English.
I don’t have any plans to do that at the moment, sorry. For my own use, I don’t feel like the changes to the texts have been drastic enough to re-do them. What we really need is official bilingual texts so they are always up to date. Even if I made new versions today they would become out of date again.
If there is a text you really need, you can make your own epubs using the book builder tool I wrote. It generates the html. You can then either use Calibre to convert from an html doc to epub, or if you want more control, paste the html into Sigil.
