Just ran across the paper by Jahannes Brokhorst on the early history of Brahmanism. I have not had a chance to read it yet, but I thought the community would be interested to check it out. It sounds interesting as he proposes that karma and rebirth are a later addition, which is in line with some of Sujato’s discussion about these topics.

Bronkhorst has to be handled with care. He is pushing strong opinions into his readings.
