"Parallels" to link translations

To offer a mildly useful and rather spoiled suggestion.

When I’m looking for a Chinese parallel, I’m usually looking for a translation rather than (just) the root text. As it is now, I click on the Chinese first, then click on Parallels again, to see if there’s a translation.

I realise this might be one of the nichest usecases, but I figured if maybe other people would benefit from it as well and to see if it could be implemented easily (probably not!).

I will also admit that the few times I click on a parallel I am always slightly somethinged or othered that it doesn’t take me to the translation.

A small consolation… If a segmented translation does exist once you get there, if you click through to it you should be taken to that segment.

Perhaps there were so few translations when the system was designed it was just easier to send people to something that would for sure be there.

I feel the same way when searching for a pali phrase using search. Shouldn’t it just take me directly to the relevant line in Bhante’s translation with “line-by-line” turned on?

Another indulgent idea I once offered!

Aren’t we all always, Bhante.
