Dear all,
My name is Patipada. I am a Bhikkhu at Bodhinyana Monastery.
I have recently completed a German translation of the Bhikkhu Pātimokkha in German language.
The aim of the translation was to render the rules in contemporary, clear, and accessible German, while maintaining a formal tone appropriate to the Vinaya and remaining as faithful as possible to the meaning of the Pāli text. Particular care was taken to express the intent of each rule in a way that supports careful reading and practical understanding.
The document contains two German versions of the Patimokkha and the Pali text. The short version is meant as quick reference, for memorizing and contains the core of the rules. The long version is close to the Pali original. Each rule and paragraph are cross-referenced between al three versions. The document is completed by comprehensive indexing.
“Beyerlein & Steinschulte have generously added the document to their Dana-Edition, making it freely available for download.”
The work is available as a freely accessible PDF (Dana edition):

I would be grateful for any feedback.
Should you know of German-speaking practitioners with interest in the Patimokkha or monastics who might find such a useful resource, you are welcome to share the link or the PDF file.
With kindness,
Bhikkhu Patipada
