Poetry of Liberation - please share

Sometimes poetry can offer a glimpse or taste of liberating wisdom in a way that supplements and inspires our study and practice of the dhamma. A few words can teach us as well as a weighty tome. Please share inspiring poems that you find supportive of your journey on the path.

I’ll start with a poem from Beate Gran’s collection and translation of ancient Chinese nun’s poetry. The book is titled “Daughters of Emptiness” and is available here.

Poem by Miaozhan (Yuan Dynasty 1260 - 1368)

In the shade of two trees and the hanging
green of the cliffs
One lamp for a thousand years broke open the dark barriers,
I too now realize that phenomena are
nothing but a magic show
And happily grow old among the mists, the rivers and the stones
