It’s not a major point in your post, but just for your consideration: the suttas don’t mention that he was married, nor that he had a son. The status of Rahula comes from the later Theragata. We collected the sources here: Was the Buddha married and father of a son - #23 by DKervick
If at all then Rahula wouldn’t have been called ‘son of the Buddha’ - I guess Buddhas don’t get children - but ‘son of Gotama’.
Anyhow, would it change your reflections if it turned out that Gotama was single? Not much I guess, your points are of course still valid…
