Not sure if yous know this, but Sue Hamilton died in 2016. I only found out a couple of months ago, from Richard Gombrich who was her PhD supervisor and friend. Sue has been, continues to be, a profound influence of my understanding of Pāḷi texts. I’ve also been applying her ideas in reading Prajñāpāramitā texts where they are extremely helpful (there is a lot more continuity than is commonly appreciated).
At present there are no obituaries for Sue, except a brief note in a Suffolk gardening magazine. I’m putting together an appreciation of her life and work in Buddhist Studies with a view to publishing it in a Buddhist Studies journal (Wikipedia article to follow).
