Sammā Samādhi, a guaranteed path to Sammā Ñāṇa

Does the right concentration (sammā-samādhi) guaranteed lead to right knowledge (sammā-ñāṇa) and right liberation (sammā-vimutti)?

As I understand it from the suttas, the property of insight knowledge - whether that pertains to the end of the effluents; the supernatural powers; the mind made body; etcetera - all of these knowledges are the result of the mind having attained the the imperturbable quality of the fourth jhana, and the “directing of the mind” to said knowledge or insight. It seems, as far as I can tell, that attainment of the imperturbable dramatically alters what the mind is capable of discerning.

Are these terms found in SN (and SA) suttas?

I believe one cannot see these Path factors in isolation.

We could find in SN 14.29 and SN 45.26 and SN 55.26

It depends on the object of samadhi. However, the “correctness” (samma-) of such samadhi depends on the object.

Sammā-samādhi cannot guarantee to lead to right knowledge (sammā-ñāṇa) and right liberation (sammā-vimutti).

Only suññatā-samādhi (based on sammā-diṭṭhi = insight) can.

I believe so.

In fact, my personal understanding would be:

  1. sammādiṭṭhi lead to 2 choices micchā & sammāsaṅkappa ;

  2. … sammāsaṅkappa;

  3. … sammāvācā;

  4. … sammākammanta;

  5. … sammāājīva

  6. … sammāvāyāma;

  7. … sammāsati

  8. … sammāsamādhi;

  9. … sammāsamādhi lead to 2 choices micchā & sammāñāṇa

  10. with the exception that sammāñāṇa always lead to sammāvimutti

But this my personal understansing, right or wrong, I would be glad to hear any suggestion

It seems your personal understanding of the path is not correct. They are not practiced in sequence for the next items of a result.
