CurrentlyI’m looking for Sutta reference that encourages the development of Samvega,Samvegacitta.

I have collected a few , but will appreciate that if friends here could pinpoint all the other references sutta that I missed from Tipitaka -Pali.

Collection so far :

,Samyutta Nikaya,Nidanasamyutta Amangatta , my favourite especially

1)the parable of mother milk that we drank, Khīrasutta [SN15.4]

2)the bone we left behind, Puggalasutta [SN 15.10](

3)the tears we shed , Assusutta [SN 15.3]

4)the blood we shed. Tiṁsamattasutta [SN 15.13]

Reference : the samyutta nikaya on amangatta

5)Abhiṇhapaccavekkhitabbaṭhānasutta AN 5.57
the SuttaCentral

6)Marananussati, [AN 6.19]
(SuttaCentral), AN 6.20

7)Barasutta SN 22.22
SuttaCentral

  1. Contemplation on Dhammacakkapavatana especially the part The Noble truths of suffering… SN 56.11

Any other good sutta for contemplation with aims for development, sustaining samvega, samvegacitta ???

You’ve got some great ones. There are two entries for urgency in the CIPS: index.readingfaithfully.org/#urgency The first one is (supposed to be) cases where the topic of urgency is found. The second one is where the Pali word “samvega” is found in one form or another.

Hi Quetzalcoatl,

You may find useful the recent exploration of Saṃvega by Venerable Ṭhānuttamo, who, BTW, also participates in this forum.
