Sharing links to improve discussion

D&D is primarily a discussion forum. So when we share a link to start a thread, it is good if we can do so in a way that will start a discussion on how the link relates to the the topic of early Buddhist texts.

  • Make sure the linked article/resource is related to the EBTs. If it’s not, then it may not be a great thing to share. If you see a connection but it is not obvious, make your case for why it is.
  • Share some quotes from the article. But not the whole thing! Either wrap the quotes in [quote] [/quote] tags or start each line with a > character.
  • Tell us what you found interesting. This might encourage other people to read it.
  • Tell us what you disagreed with.
  • Ask a question related to the content of the article or book.
  • Share some background on the author of the article or book.
