Should we promote Sutta Central project to Western Buddhist temples?


None of those arguments apply to the way a SC page would work. Does anyone remember RSS? Just think of an SC page as an RSS feed. People who are already using the BigBlueRSS reader (aka Facebook) would just subscribe to the Sutta Central RSS feed. That’s it. No facebook pixel, no facebook cookies following people around.

Facebook is the only RSS reader that gained any popular adoption, because it let everyone create their own RSS feed without knowing that they were.

All the things mentioned in the post are true, just not applicable here.


Maybe SuttaCentral links should appear in other forums like Dhammawheel and StackExchange.
