I have difficulties identifying the ‘milk-rice’ in the following verses of SN 7.8 - could somebody help me out?
Now at that time ghee and milk-rice had been set out for the brahmin Bhāradvāja the Fire-Worshipper, who thought…
Tena kho pana samayena aggikabhāradvājassa brāhmaṇassa sappinā pāyaso sannihito hoti…may enjoy this milk-rice.
somaṃ bhuñjeyya pāyasan
Is maybe soma translated as milk-rice? and if so, why?
