None that I know of. Other than Bhante @Sujato mentioning in this post that he wanted to comment on it.
If you are just wanting to select the translation, then the new v hotkey makes it easier to turn off the root language.
Using the hack above I’m planning on implementing it in the browser extension we are working on. But that would just be to select the translation, unless I can figure out a different method.
