Sutta reference for 10 things to consider before criticising/rebuking someone?

Hello

In one of Ajahn Brahm’s talks I’ve heard him speak about Buddha’s words about 10 things we should consider before criticising/rebuking someone. Anyone knows sutta/suttas that speak of it?

Thank you for your time. :anjal:

I suspected it would be in the AN Tens, and indeed there I found it, but it’s two times five, which also makes up ten:

AN10.44:2.1: “Mendicants, a mendicant who wants to accuse another should first check five things in themselves and establish five things in themselves.

Thanks Sabbamitta and Viveka, that is exactly what I was looking for. :anjal:

If all people would consider these 10 things, there wouldn’t be much criticism in the world.
