I believe this is in the name of all SuttaCentral translators when I post this in order to say THANK YOU to @carmi who for a long time has been very helpful to all of us!
Almost from the very beginnings of Bilara, she has been on board. She wasn’t very visible, but we could always count on her when it came to explaining to us the first steps to start a translation project, setting up our projects, merging our publish requests, finding the wrong characters in our files and pointing us to ways for getting our typography right, rebooting the Bilara server when it got stuck … and so much more!
She always knew where to find the necessary resources for the problem at hand, was competent in answering all our questions, and did that in very friendly and helpful ways. What can I say, she did a fantastic job!
So: THANK YOU SO MUCH, @carmi! And best wishes for your travels through life—may the Dhamma always be with you and finally lead you to ultimate peace!

I met Carmi a few years ago when she started coming to me talks in Harris Park. Before then, she hadn’t had much experience in Buddhism. But she wanted to help. Her profession is in data management and preservation for the CSIRO. She helps scientists keep their work safe and available. Through this work, she introduced me to CSIRO, where we ran many meditation sessions and workshops on climate change anxiety.
I thought she would be a great fit for SC, helping to look after the translators. It’s rare to find a volunteer who not only has great skills, but who works consistently and constructively to create something really meaningful. Carmi has excelled at all she’s done, and we’ll miss her on the team.
Thank you Venerable @sabbamitta, Bhante @sujato and everyone for your kind posts and the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and knowledgeable team over the years. I’ve loved it. I need to turn my attention to changes in my life where people need greater support and care. I’ll never be far away from my SC friends though, around the digital corner
