In Asian countries it is often reminded, that the reason why we are still in existence, is because we were full of conceit, Ignorance and our own ‘views’, when the previous Buddhas were expounding the Dhamma!

I believe it was Ajahn Mun’s personal feelings of embarrassment at his own human birth that gave him immense drive to practice wholeheartedly
